Whiskey Recipe

Hot Toddy

A good whiskey needs only a glass, and maybe an ice cube, to be savored. But if you want to explore all the ways it can tantalize your taste buds, an easy cocktail is in order. One of our favorite ways to enjoy our whiskey is the classic cold-weather curative known as the hot toddy. This simple four-ingredient cocktail is easy to make and easier to enjoy.

  • ¼ lemon

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 2 ounces whiskey

  • ¼ cup near-boiling water (or use your favorite freshly-brewed tea)

Squeeze the lemon juice into a glass, then add the honey, whiskey and water or tea. Relax and enjoy.

Irish Coffee

While many cultures have their own version of a coffee cocktail, Irish Coffee (known as caife Gaelach in the motherland) is hands down the most popular — and delicious. Whether served hot in a mug as an antidote to cold mornings, or iced on a summer day, this simple cocktail is perfect for coffee lovers everywhere.

  • 2.5 ounces coffee

  • 1.5 ounces whiskey

  • ½ ounce cream

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Pour coffee into a mug or glass, depending on the temperature for which you’re preparing the cocktail. Stir in sugar and whiskey, then slowly pour cream over the back of a spoon to layer on the surface.
