While many cultures have their own version of a coffee cocktail, Irish Coffee (known as caife Gaelach in the motherland) is hands down the most popular — and delicious. Whether served hot in a mug as an antidote to cold mornings, or iced on a summer day, this simple cocktail is perfect for coffee lovers everywhere.
2.5 ounces coffee
1.5 ounces whiskey
½ ounce cream
1 tablespoon sugar
Pour coffee into a mug or glass, depending on the temperature for which you’re preparing the cocktail. Stir in sugar and whiskey, then slowly pour cream over the back of a spoon to layer on the surface.
